 The history of Judaism, the survival of Jewish culture, and how this knowledge informs our behavior in the modern world, is a year-long topic of study and discussion.   Topics include:

 -Jewish expulsion and diaspora

 -Spanish Inquisition

 -Comparative religion

 -Jews and the Civil Rights Movement

 -Jewish writers

 -The Holocaust

 -Yiddish expressions

 The holiday customs and symbols are also reviewed in an age-appropriate way as they occur throughout the year.  Original dramatic presentations are performed at school holiday celebrations.
